- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 teaspoons almond extract
- Green food coloring
- Assorted sprinkles for decorating
Instructions
- 1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- 2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and baking powder. Set aside.
- 3. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the egg, vanilla extract, and almond extract until well combined.

- 7. Decorate the cookies with assorted sprinkles to mimic ornaments on a tree.
- 8. Bake in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
- 9. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a couple of minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
