Yorkshire Pudding Delight is a classic British side dish that is perfect for family gatherings or a cozy Sunday dinner. Light, airy, and simple to make, these puddings are sure to be a hit.
Ingredients
- 200ml milk
- 3 large eggs
- 125g all-purpose flour
- Pinch of salt
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil or beef dripping
Instructions
- 1. Preheat your oven to 220°C (425°F).
- 2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the milk and eggs until well combined.
- 3. Gradually add the flour and a pinch of salt to the egg mixture, whisking continuously to form a smooth batter.
- 4. Let the batter rest for 10 minutes.
- 5. Place a small amount of vegetable oil or beef dripping into each cup of a muffin tin. Heat the tin in the oven for about 5 minutes or until the oil is smoking hot.
- 6. Carefully remove the muffin tin from the oven and quickly pour the batter into the hot oil, filling each muffin cup about halfway.
- 7. Return the tin to the oven and bake for 20–25 minutes or until the puddings are puffed up and golden brown.
- 8. Serve immediately with a roast or your favorite Sunday dinner.
Notes
For a crisper texture, make sure the oil is piping hot before adding the batter.
